For the uninitiated, iFi is a sD card that goes into your camera. It
enables you to upload the photographs through your home wireless
connection, to your computer or to the internet.
Ya - I know, not the easiest of workflows and fairly limited as it
depends on a wireless connection that won't go outdoors - as your
camera would. Enter MiFi. MiFi is a wireless router basically that allows multiple
devices to access a wireless network. The best part - its the size of
8 playing cards stacked together and therefore is small enough to be
carried with you where ever you go. It runs for 4 hour with a 24 hour
stand-by. The two together can enable all kind of cool workflows - e.g. You can
be out clicking away with your photographs getting up loaded to Flickr
/ Facebook. Verizon has a $9/month plan right now. Small price, if you ask me,
for your netbook/camera to be able to be able to connect to the hive
