Visit to Namisharanya - birthplace of Vedas

Went to Namisharanya today.  This is where Veda Vyasa wrote most of the vedas and puranas. There are many places of mythological importance to Hindus.  Some prominent ones include Lalita Devi temple, Hnuman Garhi, and charkra teeratha.
Namisharanya is a small town in the district of Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. It is on the Lucknow-Delhi National Highway No-24 - sbout 90 minutes form Lucknow.  Special thanks to Pandit Rajnikanth ji for taking us around and for his hospitality.
More on Namish here if you are interested.
